I am a lady
I am a lady
With many an admirer
Sophisticated lady I am
I don't give a damn
When men come around
Making passes at me
Or advancing their desires to love.

I am a lady
With little or no knowledge
As regards relationships between
Men and women,but taught
To make out of men objects
Of scorn and laughter when
They make advances by those
Who assume themselves sophisticated
And have not got homes to call
Their matrimonial homes or steads.

I am a lady
That looking upon the past
And the efforts made by good
And society would-be husbands
Has lost a number of chances
To be hooked to my matrimonial home
But now sprouts with regrets and angers
When looking upon the past and
The contribution of the so-called sophisticated ladies.
