| | Technology | Technology,they say,is the bedrock of a nation.The continent Africa is tremendously lagging behind in the areas of science and technology.This is largely attributed to a poor beginning on the part of our foreparents.Our forebears have started late into the world of science and technology.
It is learnt that our forebears that were privileged to be educated had been trained majorly as teachers,lawyers,philosophers,psychologists,sociologists and a host of other humanity disciplines. | | | In those years,nobody had scarcely been trained in the disciplines of sciences,engineering,and medicine.These myopic foresights of our forebears in the areas of science and technology have not helped Africa,and have left it at the mercy of its neighbours.
When these forebears realized the importance of technology which furthers the growth of a state,they started sending their kids to study in the areas of technology aforesaid;and the products of these areas of technology started to become professors and professionals,but what we discover is that they never proceeded beyond the peak of their white teachers' intellegience.All they could understand was the limits of their masters and this has not helped at all. | | | | In recent years,Africa has lost a lot of its talented and promising children in the areas of science and technology to the spate of modern christianity that is springing up with churches all over the place.People who have spent years to qualify for some sciences,engineering and medicinal disciplines and be very useful in these areas are seen declaring their intentions to abandon these disciplines to answer the call to christian apostleship. | | | Many have become bishops,pastors,evangelists,prophets,and such like.Today,churches are seen dotting the nooks and cranny of our streets with different christian doctrines as to suggest division in the body of Christ Jesus.
And where they remained in the disciplines they are not equal to the tasks.While their counterparts in the U.S. are discussing new discoveries,they would be discussing ideas that were long invented decades ago by the same. | | | | It has been said times without numbers and i want to reiterate here again that for Africa to be accorded the respect that is due to it by the developed continents of the world,it has got to be independent of these continents scientifically,that is,in all areas of science,engineering and medicine. | | | | When the superpowers of the world see that Africa is making progress technologically,they would come to ally with it and accord it the respect it deserves. |
