| | Women of the world | | In this scientific and modern age,a few women have been given the opportunity by the society to partake in its affairs.The positions these women hold in their societies can be attributed to their educational class.But a large number of women,the world over,have been denied the rights to good life,education,freedom of information and travel and many other things of life.This denial can be seen perpetrated all over the world,with a few exceptions. | | | | In these parts of the world,namely,Africa,Asia,Arabian,women are still denied these rights .The rights these women enjoy cannot be compared to those of their counterparts in the United states of America.This brings us to the question: Are women fairly treated in these parts of the world? No! | | | | Now let take a cursory look at the genesis of mankind.In the beginning,God created them male and female without any sex discrimination of each from the other.With the passage of time,the creatures of God started to befriend one another,and in the process gave birth to younger ones.These younger ones are made male and female in their thousands.The fathers to whom these females are born discriminate against them because of their sex. | | | | In some continents of the world,women are discriminated against to the extent that they are not allowed to have basic education of life.The society that is characteristic of men help to deny them their education on the grounds that they would get impregnated in the course of their studies in schools. | | | | Some young ladies in continent Africa have ended up their lives,earning their living on the farm as well as doing prostitution.They have been told by their parents that they are no better than sex objects and have resigned themselves to fate. | | | | But the contrary is the case in the developed countries of the world,where both the government and parents encourage their citizens and children to go to school and learn how to read and write as well as using their mental knowledge in the development of their societies regardless of their sexes. | | | | Presently,a heated debate is going on in the republic of Ireland on the right of women to abortions.Abortion should be seen as a evil where the parties concerned are legally married,but in a situation where a lady falls victim of rape,it should be seen in a different light because the eventual offspring of this act would represent a great pain to the victim of the act. | | | | Finally,I strongly feel women the world over should be accorded the respect and given all the rights aforementioned above regardless of the parts of the world they belong and what obtains there. |
